Taramea Bay

Taramea Bay is the area of beach between Howell’s Point and the harbour entrance. It includes other small bays such as Mitchell’s Bay and Henderson’s Bay. Taramea Bay beach is Riverton’s most popular summer spot for families with safe swimming and a coastal walkway. The bay boasts New Zealand’s longest (and safest) wave suitable for beginner surfers and SUP.
